Born into the underground art scene of 70s and 80s New York City, Chandra Oppenheim, grew up fast, fronting new wave/mutant disco act CHANDRA and releasing the now-cult-classic album Transportation by age eleven. Three reissues later (including Telephone Explosion's 2018 Deluxe EP's), the recharged CHANDRA band has been reinterpreting Transportation’s timeless childhood material, touring across Canada, the US and in 2019 playing Barcelona's Primavera Sound. Current members include Julie Reich (Bile Sister, Body Breaks) Victoria Cheong (New Chance), producer/composer Nyles Miszczyk (MISZCZYK), Colin White (By Divine Right, Hyness), Marcus Wanka (Hyness), Heloise George (Bile Sister), Kristina Koski (Blonde Elvis) and Lee Rose (Ace of Wands).
